Hi.
At Corklands, we design and organize unforgettable events and experiences in Portugal's montado territories—the cork oak and holm oak forests. The montados are the foundation of one of the 36 most important ecosystems in the world for biodiversity conservation, comparable to the Amazon, the African savanna, and Borneo. You can experience a variety of experiences and events in this unique territory!
Accept our invitation and set out to explore: driving, cycling, hiking, rowing, or flying aboard a hot air balloon, explore stunning landscapes, conquer new horizons, and admire the simplicity of this unique and special territory.

Cork oak and holm oak forests: a land of experiences waiting to be discovered... by you. Take the challenge!
"Montado" are part of one of 36 biodiversity hotspots worldwide, with widely recognized protected status. In addition to contributing to climate regulation, they are an essential pillar for sustainable development and play a vital role in global ecological balance.
"Cork landscapes" are formed by Quercus suber, a species native to the Mediterranean basin. About half of the global cork oak area is concentrated in the Iberian Peninsula, especially in the southwest, with a significant presence in North Africa. The remainder is distributed throughout southern France, the west coast of Italy, and the islands of Corsica, Sardinia, and Sicily.
