THE ROUTE
A route that invites you to discover the rural landscape of Coruche, in a harmonious connection between the valley and the cork oak forest, two of the most striking elements of the territory's natural identity. Starting at the Cycling Centre / Erra Motorhome Service Area, the route unfolds along rural paths and agricultural landscapes, crossing different environments that highlight the diversity and richness of the Ribatejo region.
Along the approximately 8 kilometers, hikers traverse a constantly transforming landscape, passing from the more open and fertile areas of the valley to areas dominated by cork oak forests, where the cork oak plays a central role in the landscape and in the economic and cultural identity of Coruche. The route allows you to observe the close relationship between nature, agriculture and human occupation, in a territory where rural spaces continue to define the landscape.
Of easy difficulty and an approximate duration of 3 hours, the route is circular and has a moderate elevation gain, making it suitable for a peaceful walk, contemplation and direct contact with the territory. More than just a simple walk, it's an opportunity to get to know the landscape, the ecosystems, and the rural character of Coruche, discovering the transition between the valley and the cork oak forest along paths that reveal, step by step, the essence of Ribatejo.
